Spin-off Award 2025 - Round 2
Four outstanding startups honored with the Spin-off Award 2025
At the Demo Day of our RWTH Incubation Program, the second round of startups with roots in RWTH Aachen Unviersity were presented with the RWTH Spin-off Award. As the only official award for outstanding spin-offs from the university, the Spin-off Award is a quality label for the winning teams, allowing them to promote their business with reference to its scientific origins in RWTH Aachen University. The label has supported past winners in gaining credibility among investors and attracting new customers. At the same time, the successful teams serve as role models for future entrepreneurs and ambassadors for the technology and innovation location Aachen.
The second set of winners of the Spin-off Award 2025 represent the wide range of excellent research disciplines at RWTH Aachen University. We are proud to have such a strong and diverse field of startups represent the RWTH startup ecosystem far beyond its borders. Congratulations to the winners and all the best for your future endeavors!
- 20plus Health (Endon Blutbild): Unlocking peak athletic performance through blood analysis
Endon Blutbild provides a data-driven, AI-supported blood analysis tailored to ambitious athletes. By combining organized blood sampling with a proprietary neural network that transforms raw markers into actionable insights on performance, recovery, and overall health, it offers a scalable alternative to complex sports medicine diagnostics. The results are delivered in a structured consultation, giving athletes clear, evidence-based guidance with low barriers to access and high practical value. - inframind: Strengthening the resilience of energy distribution networks
inframind transforms energy networks by integrating and synchronizing data from existing systems to create a reliable foundation for automation and AI-driven decision support. Its platform enables grid operators to optimize processes – from grid connections to strategic planning – amid growing supply demands, skills shortages, and regulatory pressure. The result is a transparent, scalable, and resilient energy infrastructure built for the future. - Solid Air Dynamics: Reinventing insulation in textiles and construction with the help of aerogel fibers
Solid Air Dynamics develops 100% aerogel fibers – ultra-light, high-performance, and fully recyclable materials that originate from aerospace technology. Their biodegradable cellulose-based aerogel fibers replace microplastic-emitting insulation in textiles and construction while significantly improving energy efficiency across buildings, mobility, and industry. With strong RWTH Aachen research roots, EXIST funding, and patented technology, the team is bringing a truly sustainable high-performance material from the lab into real-world climate solutions. - Willowprint: Pioneering a new generation of circular building technology through wood waste
Willowprint offers a full-service solution for modular architecture, enabling architects, designers, and builders to 3D-print custom elements from sustainable wood composites – locally, on demand, and without waste. Their RWTH-developed, patent-protected material transforms wood residues into high-quality design objects, furniture, and architectural modules while significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and conserving natural resources. With its flexible, fully compostable, and cost-efficient production method, Willowprint is pioneering a new generation of circular building technology.
The application phase for the first round of the Spin-off Award 2026 will start in spring next year.
