Innovation Sprint 2020

As part of the Exzellenz Startup Center.NRW initiative, the RWTH Innovation Sprint was developed in 2019, a funding mechanism supports researchers interested in founding a company in cooperation with a chair or institute at RWTH. With the financial support, the teams can develop a prototype in order to validate the commercial viability of their research results. This should make it much easier to obtain further funding or a subsequent spin-off. The teams can receive funding of up to €90,000. The aim of this measure is to effectively support researchers in the critical step from research to application.
