Robert Habeck is patron of the pan-European start-up competition "Stage Two"

With his patronage, the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs is sending a strong signal to the European innovation and start-up ecosystem. This year, the Stage Two initiators from RWTH Aachen University and Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) are expecting an even bigger event than in previous years: What began in 2021 as the first pitch contest for university spin-offs in Europe is, two years later, the largest pan-European competition for the best start-ups spinning out of leading universities.

On October 19, the European start-up ecosystem will turn its eyes to Berlin when Europe's top universities send their most innovative teams to Stage Two. The goal: to provide the next generation of research-based, disruptive start-ups with a stage and bring innovative minds together with supporters from research, business and venture capital to jointly find solutions to the great challenges of our time.
